Ring up the New Year with Local Arlington BBQ
Christmas festivities are over, New Years has come and gone, the turkey is all eaten (including the 1001 ways to disguise leftovers from Christmas dinner), and we’re all back to work.
But that doesn’t mean the good times have to be over!
There’s lots to see and do in Arlington in the winter. Building a snowman might not be at the top of the list of fun things you can do, but there are a number of attractions in the area.
There’s the Six Flags Over Texas amusement park, home of the Catwoman Whip and Gunslinger. Or if something a little less exciting is more your style, you can take a ride on an authentic steam engine or go for a ride in a classic car. It also has entertainment and events. And, for those who feel the need for a little retail therapy, the park also has a number of shops.
And did you know that we have the third largest football stadium in the National Football League? That’s right – our own AT&T Stadium, completed in 2009, seats 80,000 fans. And it’s not just for football fans either – the stadium hosts events such as Monster Jam, the PBR Global Cup, boxing matches, and more.
How about a trip to the Arlington Museum of Art. Or maybe an afternoon of hiking and biking finishing up with a hands-on-science center at Legacy River Park.
Whatever your pleasure, be sure to top it off with a great meal of authentic Texas barbecue ribs at Cokers. Come in and find out why we were voted as making the best ribs in Texas!
